Cockroaches Effect on One’s Health
Seeing a cockroach inside your room is alarming but you can always kill it by just stepping on it. But, once this cockroach flies, you will definitely run outside to ask for help. It is a fact that cockroaches are really pests and they need to be exterminated. But why is it considered a pest? Well, aside from the fact that it replicates to millions all over the world, it is also known for its negative effect in one’s health.
The body parts of the cockroaches, saliva or feces can trigger allergic reactions to humans especially for babies. So if you see even one cockroach in your home, you need to make sure it is killed and your home cleaned thoroughly and disinfected. Aside from allergies, it can also trigger asthma attack especially when it touches your skin.
Aside from allergies and asthma, cockroaches can also be a source of microbes that are harmful to the bodies. There are estimated to be 33 different kinds of bacteria that a cockroach can transport from one place to another. Some of these bacteria are the E.coli and salmonella, and even parasitic worms. These bacteria are known to cause vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, belly pain and dehydration.
A cockroach is indeed a very dirty type of pest. Since these cockroaches spread fast, the only way to keep away from it is to maintain the cleanliness of your home. Aside from that, avoiding cracks or small holes in your homes would also prevent these pests in entering your home.
You cannot just ignore cockroaches because it has been researched and proven that there are a lot of diseases that are associated to these pests. If you already see two or three inside your home, it is time for you to ask for a pest controller.
